Is Quitting Sugar an Endurance Event??
by Joan Kent, PhD

Recently, a client asked me how many days someone will typically have to “endure” after quitting sugar before they start to feel better and stop having overwhelming cravings.

The answer depends on what else that person is eating.

A “stabilizing” diet that includes plenty of protein, healthful fats, complex starches, and vegetables will make it much easier to get through the initial quitting days.

In fact, with a healthful diet, the time it takes to feel better and get past “overwhelming” cravings can be as short as 5-days.

If someone’s diet is poor and doesn’t include the foods above, quitting sugar might take much longer. Cravings will be tougher to eliminate. Feeling better — however that’s defined — might take considerable time.

The good news is quitting sugar doesn’t have to be something to endure. What could you do — what would you do — if you had complete control over your cravings and your sugar consumption?

Quit sugar the “right” way, and you’ll feel energized and fantastic in under a week. No cravings. Tons of energy. Just go to www.FoodAddictionSolutions.com/Coaching and grab your free Last Resort Nutrition® Consult.
